He has won numerous prizes at international music competitions and appeared as a soloist with the clarinet concertos by Mozart, Weber and Copland.
He completed his studies with Prof. Norbert Kaiser at the State University for Music in Stuttgart with distinction. As a young student with Prof. Harald Harrer at the Leopold Mozart Center of the University of Augsburg, he was taught by Georg Arzberger, Stefan Jank and Manfred Preis. Master classes with Professors Hans-Dietrich Klaus, Martin Spangenberg, Thomas Lindhorst, Johannes Peitz, Manfred Lindner and Thorsten Johanns gave him valuable impulses.
