"Precision & Freedom"

The JLV ligature is not only beautifully designed, but it also solves a problem that has long frustrated me: the fit between the reed and the mouthpiece. The ligature can be personalized for sound and style, yet each variation performs the crucial task of reducing leaks along the side rails. This is achieved while maintaining the reed’s freedom to vibrate, and in fact, gives the reed even greater vibrational freedom, allowing the embouchure to control the tone—without stifling the reed to compensate for warpage.
