Driven by a passion for performance and pedagogy, Mariano García is an internationally acclaimed saxophonist. He currently teaches the Master’s in Performance at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (Esmuc – Barcelona) and is a regular lecturer at the European Saxophone University during the summer courses in Gap (France).
From 2009 to 2020, he served as professor at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón (CSMA – Zaragoza), before joining the Luca School of Music in Louvain (Belgium) and the Wiener Musik Akademie (Vienna) from 2018 to 2023.
An invited artist and educator at numerous universities and international conservatories, he has given masterclasses and recitals at the Eastman School of Music (Rochester, NY), the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, the Birmingham School of Music, the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler (Berlin), the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz (Cologne), and the University of Ljubljana. He has also led advanced courses in China, Poland, Mexico, and Italy, and since 2022 has been teaching at the International Music Course of Benidorm.
Mariano García is regularly invited to serve on the jury panels of the world’s most prestigious international saxophone competitions, including the Dinant Sax Competition, the Andorra Sax Fest, and the Temsig Slovenia.
Since 2015, he has collaborated with the Musethica project as a professor and soloist, performing more than 50 concerts as a soloist and with Grupo Enigma, the chamber orchestra of the Zaragoza Auditorium.
In 2010, he founded the AniMa DUO with pianist Aniana Jaime, an ensemble highly praised by critics. Together, they have released several acclaimed recordings:

➤ Ritmo en el Espacio (Delicias Discográficas, 2015) – contemporary Spanish creations
➤ Hommage (IBS, 2020) – recent works and dedications by leading composers

In parallel, he has taken part in several recordings expanding the saxophone repertoire, including the Concerto for Saxophone by Kevin Houben and works by Jesús Villa-Rojo and Agustín Charles.
