Luis González Garrido – Passionate Saxophonist and Performer
Luis González Garrido is a sensitive, expressive, and energetic Spanish saxophonist, whose performances are as touching for their artistic quality as for their connection with the audience. Based in Paris but originally from Utrera (Spain), he is driven by a constant musical curiosity, which leads him to explore numerous repertoires, from classical to flamenco, including contemporary music.
"He possesses great technical mastery of his instrument and great musical flexibility."
— Vincent David
A rich and eclectic artistic approach
Luis is committed to contemporary music, collaborating with composers such as Félix Ibarrondo, Carmen Verdú, and Orlando Bass. He is also passionate about transcriptions, which he sees as a way to introduce new repertoires to the world of the saxophone. Finally, his Andalusian roots naturally connect him to flamenco, a style in which he has excelled since a very young age.
"He possesses a remarkable sound, a capacity for deep expression, and a high level of interpretation." »
—Carmen Verdú
