Dawson Coleman, saxophonist and educator from Kansas City, is recognized for his artistic excellence and educational commitment.

Award-winning, he performs as a soloist and teaches at renowned institutions.

A JLV ambassador, he chooses our ligatures for their responsiveness and rich sound.

Dawson Coleman est un saxophoniste et pédagogue basé à Kansas City, Missouri. Il a été reconnu au niveau national en tant que soliste par la North American Saxophone Alliance, la Music Teachers National Association, l’U.S. Army Band "Pershing’s Own", ainsi que la Mid-America Performing Arts Alliance, entre autres.

En tant que soliste concertiste, il s’est produit avec la Florida State University Philharmonia, l’ensemble contemporain Polymorphia, et l’Interlochen Intermediate Wind Symphony.

Pédagogue engagé, Coleman est actuellement professeur de saxophone au William Jewell College. Il est également assistant pédagogique au sein du studio de saxophone du Conservatoire de l’Université du Missouri–Kansas City. Récemment, il a animé des masterclasses invitées à l’Eastern Michigan University, l’University of Central Missouri et l’University of Kansas.

Coleman est titulaire d’un Bachelor et d’un Master of Music obtenus à la Florida State University, et poursuit actuellement un Doctorat en Arts Musicaux à l’Université du Missouri–Kansas City.
