French saxophonist Anne-Cornélia DÉTRAIN combines a renowned performing career with a strong commitment to teaching.
A winner of international competitions, she performs in prestigious venues and festivals, collaborating with renowned contemporary composers.
A Selmer artist, she enriches the saxophone repertoire through her ensembles "Empreintes," "Paysages," and the Duo Eolos.

Originally from Northern France, Anne-Cornélia DÉTRAIN began studying piano and singing before devoting herself fully to the saxophone.
She earned her Diplomas of Musical Studies at the Regional Conservatories of Versailles (class of Jacques Desloges) and Cergy-Pontoise (class of Jean-Yves Fourmeau). She furthered her studies at the Aubervilliers-La Courneuve Regional Conservatory with Ronan Baudry, particularly in contemporary language work.
Winner of the Léopold Bellan International Competition (Paris) and the European Competition of Picardy, she holds a State Diploma for saxophone teaching and is a winner of the Civil Service competition for Professor of Artistic Education – Category A. Anne-Cornélia DÉTRAIN teaches and coordinates the saxophone class at the Suresnes Conservatory (Hauts-de-Seine).
As a performer, she performs with her ensembles "Empreintes" and "Paysages", her Duo Eolos, as well as with the Ensemble Kaleidos.
Since 2018, she has performed regularly with the Renouveau Lyrique Parisien in various theaters and opera festivals: Théâtre de Troyes, Enghien-les-Bains Casino, Lille Theatre, and several festivals in the Grand Sud region. She has participated in numerous operatic productions such as Le Chanteur de Mexico, Les Routes Fleuries, La Vie Parisienne, L’Auberge du Cheval Blanc, and La Belle de Cadix.
She has performed in major venues in Paris and the Île-de-France region: Salle Gaveau (Le Comic Symphonic with Marc Jolivet), Salle Alfred Cortot, and La Seine Musicale (with the Ensemble Saxo Voce).
She has collaborated with renowned composers: Victor Herbiet, Johan Farjot, Karol Beffa, Thierry Escaich, and Olivier Kaspar.
She has recorded two albums – Tohu-Bohu and Childhood – on the Indesens and Klarthe labels, and is a Selmer artist with her ensemble Empreintes.
