Aina Davidsen – Norwegian Saxophonist, Educator, and Engaged Artist
Aina Davidsen (born 1993) is a Norwegian classical saxophonist, renowned for her expressive musicality and her commitment to artistic innovation and musicians' health. She is an official Henri Selmer Paris artist (since 2020) and a JLV Sound ambassador (since 2022).
Having earned a Master's degree in classical saxophone from the Royal Academy of Aarhus (Denmark, 2017), she has a versatile career as a soloist, chamber musician, composer, and teacher.
A rich and committed artistic career
She performs in several ensembles including:

➤ And is currently preparing her next solo album: "GåMedHjertet," with original works blending classical and electronic saxophone.
Her first album, "THEN," recorded between 2020 and 2021, revisits the historical repertoire classical saxophone.
She is also very active in fusion styles, as evidenced by:
➤ "Å overleve tanken" (2021) – an EP of compositions for saxophone and electronics, recorded to support mental health organizations in Norway.
➤ "INFINITY" (2024) – a duo EP with guitarist Scopelliti, blending metal and classical music, in an experimental approach of crossover and improvisation.

➤ May 2024: Recording of an unaltered live album at Ulefoss Hovedgård, featuring her original works.
➤ August 2025: World premiere of works written especially for her by Ole Karsten Sundlisæter.
A musician focused on health and teaching skills
Alongside her stage career, Aina is:
➤ A saxophone teacher in music schools and high schools,
➤ A performance coach and lecturer,
➤ Trained in mental preparation and the Timani Method (anatomy and movement for musicians), through the Musicians Health & Movement Institute.
She makes it a point of honor to help musicians maintain their physical and mental health, in order to play with freedom, pleasure, and authenticity.
Career and Awards
From the age of 8, Aina has participated in international competitions.
➤ 2009: First prize at the Norwegian Championship (age category).
➤ 2011: 2nd place in the same competition.
➤ 2016: Winner of the Ticon Prize (Drammen, Norway).
➤ 2017: 1st prize at the Stockholm International Music Competition.
➤ 2018: National State Scholarship for Young Musicians, which allowed her to further her studies in composition.
She has been a soloist with:
