Saxophonist Javier Linares, combines tradition and avant-garde, thus obtaining a young performer capable of transmitting the broad feeling of music.
He began his musical studies at the hands of his father, then studied at the conservatories of Cadiz and Seville, and was unanimously awarded the "Roll of Honor" by the court at the end of these. this. Wishing to broaden his training, he studied with Claude Delangle, Vincent David, Arno Bornkamp, ​​Johan van der Linden, subsequently obtaining the titles of University Expert and Master in Musical Interpretation from UNIA, finishing them with the qualification of "Outstanding Cum Laude". Likewise, he holds a master's degree in musical research from the International University of La Rioja.
Saxophonist Javier Linares After receiving scholarships from Yamaha and Henri Selmer Paris, he began his musical career with Nobuya Sugawa and Claude Delangle, collaborating in various public master classes.
As a soloist he has created numerous works and collaborated with the biggest musical groups in the country (Madrid Symphony Orchestra, Royal Seville Symphony Orchestra, OSCYL and ORCAM) performing in many festivals and in the best venues. Spain (National Auditorium, Palau de Catalan Music, Teatro de la Maestranza), as well as in Europe (Genoa, Rome, Ljubljana). Likewise, he has recorded for RNE, Radio Clásica, RTVCM and RTVE.
Combining his artistic side and the field of chamber music, he is co-founder of the saxophone quartet Tetraktys, the duo Ilíberis and the duo Farben, where he develops the limits of the saxophone for different groups. Since 2018, he has been an artist for the prestigious brands Henri Selmer Paris and Vandoren.
In the professional field, he was solo saxophone for more than a decade in the music unit of the General Air Command (Getafe, Madrid) and the music unit of the “Inmemorial del Rey Nº1” infantry regiment in the neighborhood. General of the Army, both belonging to the Ministry of Defense. Currently, he is professor by opposition of the saxophone specialty at the Royal Superior Conservatory of Music "Victoria Eugenia" in Granada.
