Jason Tingkwan LAU JLV Ambassador - JLV Ligature for saxophone

" The JLV ligature is definitely the best ligature I have ever used. Its design allows me to play through all register without ease while maintaining a good sound with excellent projection. This gives me more flexibility, freedom and confidence to interpret all type of music. Bravo Jean-Luc Vignaud !!! "

Biography :

TingKwan (Jason) Lau is an emerging Toronto based saxophonist specializing in Classical and Contemporary music. An active performer and educator, Jason is fluent in the repertoire of the saxophone and is as comfortable a soloist as he is a chamber musician.

An active competitor, Jason won the 2018 University of Toronto Faculty of Music Winds Competition and will be competing in the 7th Andorra Internation Saxophone Competition in April 2020. A strong interest in exploring the virtuosic capabilities of the saxophone drives Jason to explore music beyond that of his instrument.

Jason is in his First year of the Master of Instruments Specialize in Saxophone at the Lemmensinstituut under the guidance of Prof. Mariano Garcia and Nadine Bal. A David and Marcia Beach Summer Study Award, along with a Faculty of Music Undergraduate Associaton individual grants gave Jason the opportunity to participate in the Université Européenne de Saxophone in Gap, France in the summer of 2017-19. There, he received advanced instruction from virtuosos Claude Delangle, Arno Bornkamp, Vincent David and among others.
